18+ · Educational tool. All calculations run in your browser. Examples are not casino rates.

Example 1% edge, not a casino’s verified rate. Amounts use your chosen common currency unit. This is a continuous fixed-target model, not a manual cashout prediction.

How it is calculated

  • With house edge e as a fraction and target t ≥ 1, win chance q = (1 − e)/t. A successful cashout returns t times the stake, including the stake; a loss returns zero.
  • EV per bet = bet × (q × t − 1) = −bet × e. Expected loss over N equal bets = N × bet × e. Expected means an average under the model, not a guaranteed session result.
  • At a 2× target and example 1% edge, q = 0.99/2 = 49.5%. A 1-unit bet has EV −0.01 units; 100 equal bets have expected loss 1 unit.
  • Higher targets lower win frequency without changing EV per unit wagered at the same edge. The model excludes rounding, cashout ties, payout caps, manual timing and connection failures. Check those rules separately. N is a fixed bet count; stopping early changes turnover.

18+ · No formula removes the house edge. Do not chase losses; set limits and only use money you can afford to lose. Help and limits.

Frequently asked questions

Does a lower target remove the house edge?

No. In this model the higher win chance is offset by the smaller payout, leaving EV at minus the edge per unit bet.

Is the 1% default a real casino rate?

No. It is an editable example. Enter the edge stated by the game you are checking and confirm the formula and rounding match.

Is expected loss the most I can lose?

No. Actual results can be much worse or better. The tool is not a bankroll limit, prediction or risk-of-ruin calculation.
